Invest in Black Impact Houston

Most funding in the nonprofit sector goes to programs — specific services, specific populations, specific outcomes. That kind of funding matters. But it leaves a gap.

It leaves out the infrastructure that makes all of that program work possible. The convenings where leaders stop feeling alone. The training that helps a small nonprofit write a grant proposal that actually gets funded. The collective voice that walks into a room with a funder and advocates for the organizations that couldn't get in the door on their own.

That is what your investment in BIH supports. Not a single program — the entire ecosystem of Black-led organizations in Greater Houston.

Capacity investment is one of the rarest and most valuable forms of philanthropic support, especially in the South where it has historically been hardest to come by. When you give to BIH, you are making a bet that when Black-led organizations are stronger, Houston is stronger. We believe that bet pays off every time.

How Your Investment Is Used

Every dollar donated to BIH goes toward building and sustaining the infrastructure that member organizations depend on — monthly convenings, skill-building workshops, funder relationships, advocacy, and the operational backbone that keeps it all running.

BIH is fiscally sponsored by Social Good, a 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are tax deductible. EIN:

Give on Giving Day

Every year BIH hosts a collective Giving Day where 80% of funds raised are distributed equally among all member organizations and 20% goes directly to BIH's infrastructure. It is one of the most direct ways to invest in Black-led work across Greater Houston all at once. Stay connected to be notified when the next Giving Day is announced.
